its the most wonderful time of the year...

{Christmas Decorations}

i absolutely totally & completely LOVE getting Christmas cards. nothing is more exciting than getting fun mail!! hyrum knew he was not aloud to open the Christmas cards but had to bring them to me & anytime we got any it made my day! so... thanks to everyone who sent us one. we loved them. :)

{Christmas Morning}

Christmas morning was nice & relaxing. It was just our little family & Hyrum's sister Maren. We had a late night on Christmas Eve with Hyrum's family & hArdy takes after his mamma & likes to sleep in, especially after late nights. This has been a lifesaver with my pregnancy sickness... as you all know the mornings are the worst! Anyways, finally at 10:30am we decided we couldn't wait any longer & needed to wake him up. It was so fun watching & helping him open his presents. He was a little unsure of things at first, probably because he hasn't been able to touch the tree or any presents under it for the last month :) but once he got started he was a pro!

hyrum's masterpiece...

aunt maren got hArdy this studly little horse & it by far got the best reaction from hArdy. he loved it! the reason she decided to get him a horse was because earlier in the week we were at hyRum's parents house & hArdy attempted to play with some my little ponies. hYrum immediately tossed them away & told hArdy they were girly. maren thought that was pretty funny & wanted to be sure to get hArdy a manly black stallion horse that his daddy would approve of :)

we tried to keep hArdy's presents to a minimum seeing as he's 2 & seriously would be happy with a single new car (he's obsessed with cars) but he still ended up with a pretty good haul. santa brought him: white board/chalk board easel, 2 swords, cars, ball, camo sleeping bag, chutes & ladders, toy story memory, more cars, kazoo, harmonica, recorder.

{Chrismas Eve}

you may have noticed that we pretty much lived in our reindeer jammies the entire month of december. it was fabulous!

the Christmas Eve festivities:

a yummy mexican food dinner, everyone in pj's, lots of hanging out & visiting, a white elephant gift exchange, the bible Christmas story read by poppie Craig, beautiful musical numbers: laura, maren & lizzy sang a Christmas song that lizzy wrote while lizzy played the guitar, poppie Craig sang the grinch song, mommie alison played the violin & cody played the cello to silent night & we all joined in singing the last verse together. we mostly did video & didn't get too many pics but here are a few to remember our fun night...
